21 July 2025

As of this month, there are now less than six months to go until the compliance deadline for the European Union Deforestation Regulation (EUDR). The new regulation aims to lower greenhouse gas emissions and biodiversity loss caused by EU residents using and buying products made from a broad list of raw materials.

In concrete terms, this means that from 2026 onwards, companies bringing soy, oil palm, rubber, timber, cacao, coffee, cattle, and their derived products onto the EU market will need to demonstrate – clearly and credibly – that their supply chains are not linked to deforestation.

But did you know? If you’re reading this now as an ISCC System User, you have access to a fast-track solution to support your EUDR compliance: the ISCC EUDR add-on.

Here’s How You Can Streamline the Process as an ISCC System User

At ISCC, we’ve spent 15 years building a globally trusted framework for sustainability certification. With the EUDR deadline approaching on 30 December 2025, we have extended that trust to the new regulation.

The ISCC EUDR add-on is our solution to this. Instead of setting up new processes or audits, there is a more efficient way to use your time and resources. You can make the necessary adjustments to align with EUDR through something you’re already doing: your annual ISCC audit.

The ISCC EUDR Add-on Benefits You Because it…

Builds on what works: By working like a plug-in to your existing ISCC EU or PLUS certification. It runs through the same infrastructure you’ve already invested in – scalable, proven, and efficient.

Respects your time and resources: One audit covers both sustainability verification and supports EUDR compliance. No duplicate checks. No redundant paperwork.

Strengthens your risk profile using local expertise: Your legality check will be carried out by a qualified, local auditor who is experienced with the standards you are required to meet.

Covers the essentials: Geolocation, legality, risk assessment, and Due Diligence Statement (DDS) support – all in line with the regulation.

Your Next Steps

New regulations like the EUDR are signs of a changing world, where environmental integrity is becoming integral to market access.

At this stage, we encourage you to: read our EUDR guidance document, add the EUDR add-on to your registration in the ISCC HUB, and contact your Certification Body.

Once you’ve done that, a member of our team of EUDR experts will be in contact to guide you through this streamlined process and clarify any questions you may have.

Whether you’re already an ISCC System User or not, you still have time to use the ISCC EUDR add-on to support your compliance with the new regulations before the end-of-year deadline.
